Family portrait photographer Brisbane

I love photographing families! I love photography! I keep feeling rather overwhelmed with how lucky I am to have a job I love so much. I am getting closer and closer my goals and it feels good… ;)

Here is a very cute family from a couple weeks ago. These were taken on an incredibly hot day at Roma St gardens. Ashley, Nicole and little Isabelle were very energetic and we ran around the whole park while I followed snap snapping away.

inspiration…

I find my kids are my little muses and really always have been. So today I ‘m blogging a tiny bit about them.

Firstly Poppy – a little character who delights and huggles us so much! I loved seeing her below playing in the curtains and enjoying the late afternoon light.4pic-window

Next my little big girl who shortly will be ten! Zali.

She is astounding me with her creativity and abilities. Here is a painting she did for me a couple of months ago. I paid her to paint me a picture for my bedroom. I asked for something Klimpt in style and she delivered an amazing painting. When my mother saw this she promptly paid Zali to paint her one too!! :) She wants to be an artist when she grows up… I tell her she is well on her way!

Yummi little Tassie family

I recently had the pleasure of working with a beautiful little family from Tasmania.

Claudine booked me many months ago for some fun family gatherings while they were here in Brisbane. It was delightful to get to know these guys over a few shoots.

Claudine and Jacob’s little girls are soo sweet and a delight to photograph. They LOVED the camera! LOVED might even be an understatement for Charlotte…

At one point Charlotte told her dad off for for trying to play boo with her…. she said “Dad! Hailey is trying to take my photo!” Hilarious!

These guys also run a great business called -  I DO GOWNS

Go check out their website, you can sell your wedding dress or buy a wonderful designer gown for a fraction of the price.

We started our portrait sitting in the hotel. Playing on the big bed, peek-a-boo in the curtains and yoga too! We then headed off for a walk up the hill to a great little inner city park. At the end of this shoot both Ruby and Charlotte hugged me and I was completely smitten!!

My Funny Family – clay animation

I am very proud to present our newest clay animation. You can see our old one here.
“My Funny Family’ was written by Poppy (5yrs) and all the characters made by Zali (9yrs).
We had so much fun together creating this little bundle of colour.

My sister Bene came down to help us shoot and animate this so a BIG thanks to you Bene!!

I thought I would include some funny little shots of the behind the scenes.

This is Poppy’s sketches and storyboard for the project.
