I have been so busy and very slow to blog but I promise to catch up now!!
We love travelling down to Melbourne for weddings. This wedding was no exception! Liz and Dan had a lovely relaxed wedding ceremony at Mentone beach Surf Club. Before that though we met up at a park in Surrey Hills for some lush greenery. We had perfect sunny weather and the beach front location was stunning. I loved the dress Liz chose and the flowers were beautiful. Thanks guys for choosing us to be part of your day.
Wonderful to be selected to screen at a festival I can actually go to! Only a little drive away… There really is nothing like seeing your film screen with an audience. So fun to hear people laugh when you meant it to be funny and ‘get’ what the film is about. An honor!!
Here are a few stills from the film. Come along and see it!!!
Also so happy to see our work spreading around.
If you’re a bride, check out POLKADOTBRIDE they just did a little feature on our work. The fantastic wedding of Madeleine and Michael. There are heaps of extra shots on the Polkadot site so take a look.
we recently had a wedding featured and our Christmas video made a little cameo too!
Also we were featured in OUI magazine. A French fashion magazine. Sooo fun to receive a copy and see my work printed big!! teehee!
HERE IS THE LINK: OUI magazine (do not google there is another not so nice magazine with same name!!!!)
Very excited to show you the first wedding video by our good friend and colleague Pancho Colladetti. We now offer wedding videos alongside our photography! Pancho is AMAZING!!! Check it out here:

Also I have had a few people asking about how to make giant heads like here and here .
So here is what we did…
1. Take a few close up images against a plain backdrop.
2. Pick your favourite fun image and grab a giant brush colouring over the top and neck.
3. Rotate and crop as needed.
4. Process how you like it, re-size for print. We did 1m x 1m.
5. Take your files to a large format printer. We recommend getting vinyl prints with the sticky backing. However we un-wisely opted for the high quality print but no sticky back. So we cut out the faces and then glued them to backing board with spray glue. HOWEVER this is a 3 person job and fiddly and the glue did not hold as well as we hoped. SO if you can avoid it, DO!!!
6. Once our boards and pictures were joined and cut to face shape, we gaffa taped some sticks on the back! EASY! and fun!
We traveled to Newcastle to photograph this wedding and it was the last wedding for the year. It was wonderful! GREAT to be in a different city and such a fun wedding to photograph too!
Michael and Madeline had a masquerade ball theme for their wedding. They were married in a stone church in Morpeth. This was the first time I’ve been to Morpeth I could of stayed all day and photographed. It was delighful and so many fantastic backdrops. These guys were very easy going and happy to do whatever I asked… including some hair-brained idea to jump a wire fence and go into a burnt out field. I have so many favorites from this wedding, it is going to be a bumper blog post!
It is very very warm in my office, I fear I might just be melting…
In the meantime, here is a few more from Hailey (what a wonderful name!!;P) and Tom’s wedding.
We had so much fun with these guys and it was a delight to spend the day capturing all the special moments. It was extra special because Hailey’s family are old family friends and I still remember her as a little baby!! So sweet to see her so happy and in love with such a lovely man.
While in Melbourne we also photographed a lovely wedding.
Claire and Tim had their beautiful ceremony at the Zoo. We didn’t see any wild animals but we did have fun with an ice cream man. (despite it being rather cold and windy!)
It was a dream come true for me… Ice-cream man and a bride and groom!! Yippee!! Thanks guys!
Jess and Dana are a total delight to photograph!! We had the best time with the engagement session and I was really looking forward to their wedding. True to expectations it was GREAT!
They had a vintage feel to the wedding and we shot their creative shots at a local bowls club. (with lawn bowlers!!) Hope you enjoy seeing this creative couple and their special day.
I have had a really hard time choosing which images to blog….
Lets start with Dana and his super cool retro style suit.

It is my first shoot mixing video and still photography. There were so many favourites I was finding it hard to choose. So if you watch the film you will get to view more of the photos!!
I am shooting their wedding in just 2.5 weeks, it will no doubt be fun!
