Whenever I work for TEAR I am so challenged and moved and pushed to grow. I LOVE IT! 5 days in very rural villages with limited water and no electricity is a very fun adventure!
I can’t tell you how much I admire the work they do! Really big post will come sometime soon. But for now here is a little taste of Laos. While there I also made a little film. So more stills and a film coming soon!
Suncorp – Brighter Futures!
About 18 months ago, I wrote down that I wanted to do more commercial work, and especially work that had a bit of HEART.
Not long after that I started working for Suncorp Group!
They have the most amazing program called ‘Brighter Futures’ and I am so proud to be involved in a small way. I was hired to take a series of images and you can see some in the posters below and others in a series posted here.
Brighter Futures is all about helping the staff of Suncorp feel fulfilled and have meaning. The research that goes into this program is amazing and being able to see the benefits of what they do was an honor.
From documenting personal stories of people who had been put forward for grants, to staff who had been fundraising for the charity they believed in…
All this made for an amazing job with an beautiful group of people.
You can see a small part of that below.
You can find out more about the program HERE.
This film along with others in the series was Produced by You Can’t Be Serious! in conjunction with Rem Bruijn from BrainHeart.
Editing at Cutting Edge, Brisbane by Digby Hogan.
Thanks for checking out the blog!

365 Gratefuls is here!
It is with great excitement I write this post.
We finally have a copy of 365 gratefuls book in our hot little hands! When Andrew opened the box and handed me a copy I was not really expecting to feel anything… but then something hit me.
It really has been the most extraordinary journey. 365 grateful has been teaching me things for the last 5 years and keeps on giving. I feel very lucky to be able to hold part of the journey in my hands along with so many other amazing people’s gratefuls! It is a small book but a huge milestone for this project and for us personally. We are excited that we are also in the final stages of the film and can’t wait to have them sitting side by side. Hope you laugh and cry reading it too. There are so many wonderful stories within it’s little pages.
We’ve just been told by the publisher that it will be on sale from April 2, 2013 in the US, wherever books are sold including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, independent bookstores and direct from Penguin. Stay tuned for details of international release dates.
You can pre-order your copy HERE!
If you would like to WIN a copy of this book leave a comment below with what you are grateful for! You have until the 10th of April to enter!!
creativeLIVE edit example
On the creativeLIVE workshop I did with the amazing Sue Bryce, I did cover editing but very quickly. So I thought it would be good to show you again. Especially if you are taking part in this project!
Also I wanted to edit up the footage from the live shoot so that Darla and Jeremy have something to show for the mess I made of them! So combining these two objectives, I have made my first editing tutorial which you can see below.
I have to say that it is a little speedy. If you are just starting out you may need to play over certain sections a couple of times!
However as a free little starter guide I hope you enjoy!
first the finished video:
Now a very cut down version of how we got there:
