365 grateful. 30 days of grateful in video

In Jan/Feb this year I decided to try a video version of 365 grateful. Because sometimes a still shot just doesn’t quite do it!

This is the little video I created with the grateful moments over 30 days… Hope you enjoy! You can find the fun music here: The Bobby McGees.

My current 365 grateful project (shot on the iphone) is coming along well. I really enjoy doing this everyday and the iphone version is very easy, as I always have it handy!! You can check it out at our posterous site.

If you’re interested, I use the: Shake it photo app.

I was so thrilled at the pretty montage Andrew did for me that I asked him to make me one for the Polaroid version of 365 Grateful. You can see this below. So fun to see all these beautiful moments together. Really is amazing to think I have been going on this since 2008.

If you have done a grateful project I would LOVE to see links or hear your stories and adventures with this. It has made such an impression on me and hearing how others find it worthwhile would be lovely!

    Crazy beautiful.
These videos are going to come to mean more and more to you and your family some day. I mean, what a gift for your girls to share with their children some day and for you to go back and look at when they’re grown. It’s so incredibly special.

  • The baby running on the beach, the footsteps in the sand, the girls dancing in their skirts – made me so happy! Thank you…

I found your website as your sister linked the video 30 days. I started 365 as a Facebook photo album this week (with a link to the Notebook article), posting a photo a day to the Newsfeed. Four of my friends then decided to do it too, and their friends are now responding to their posts with joy, tears, appreciation for something positive to read on facebook, and thoughts of doing it themselves. It’s nice seeing people express thoughts about things and people, that otherwise may go unexpressed. I get online, looking forward to seeing what my mates are grateful for that day, and feel part of a kindred growing community, that have chosen to position themselves to look through the eyes of gratitude. It’s only day five, so who knows where it will grow from here.

  • oh hailey, you are so absolutely, positively, wonderfully, amazingly talented! what a darling video, thanks for sharing :)

  • Hey Hailey! I had a go, I did an August photo project as there’s no way I could commit to a whole year – 31 days was hard enough! But very enjoyable, definitely made me much more observant and aware of the good things around me every day. You can see here:
