I love this wedding!

Jess and Dana are a total delight to photograph!! We had the best time with the engagement session and I was really looking forward to their wedding. True to expectations it was GREAT!

They had a vintage feel to the wedding and we shot their creative shots at a local bowls club. (with lawn bowlers!!) Hope you enjoy seeing this creative couple and their special day.

I have had a really hard time choosing which images to blog….

Lets start with Dana and his super cool retro style suit.

  2. Mariann wrote: I love these photos! Seems like such a great wedding and couple, and you captured it beautifully! I saw your video with this couple a few weeks ago on flickr. Not only did I fall in love with it and the music, but I showed it to my family, and my sister exclaimed "THAT is the kind of relationship I want". And when you manage to capture something like that, and make someone on the other side of the world "feel it", well, then I'd say you're an AMAZING photographer. So I'm sure this couple has no regrets booking you for their wedding :D (06/24/09, 3:30 am)

girl crush on COLOUR ME KATIE!!!

I have been so inspired by Colour me Katie... I might have a girl crush.

She makes me so happy!! I discovered her delightful blog some months ago and since have been coming back over and over to be inspired and to smile.

Katie is an amazing photographer and also makes gorgeous street art.

I was so inspired, we decided to do our own version of street art.

Firstly I photographed 2 little birds the girls drew. Poppy’s on the Left, Zali’s on the right.

2x-olws

Next we printed heaps of them. (also a few shots of the girls doing funny things and some rain drops….)

Then went down to a busy street.

Taking glue and double sided tape and wonderful fun grandparents (my parents) who helped us decorate.

Here are the results:

We are hoping that lots of people noticed them and were delighted to find cute little owls perched in un-expected places. It was so fun!

IF you want to smile and celebrate what is beautiful in the world go check out Colour me Katie, HERE or this little doco video on what she gets up to…

Have a good weekend!

  3. Susan wrote: Thanks for introducing me to Katie's blog, such a happy place! Love the owls (and what cool parents you have!), hope the rain we've had haven't made them too soggy. I'd love to happen upon one in my travels around Brisbane. Started me thinking of doing something similar. Hmmmmmm (06/23/09, 2:17 pm)

  4. Dana wrote: these are great, such nice street art. love the one with godzilla (06/24/09, 8:11 am)

A good weekend…

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I did!!! Finished shooting another clay animation (written by my youngest daughter) and then off to the botanical gardens for picnic and play. Was extra fun as my littlest sister was visiting and we had fights over my camera. Bonus is I got some photos with me in them!!

Thanks Bene!!

Hope you enjoyed your weeekend as much as I did.

Cheers

Orbit kidz Clothing

Last year I photographed my favourite childrenswear label, OrbitKidz.

I have been waiting to blog about these images till their website is up and running. It is now!

http://orbitkidz.com/

My girls have lots of different dresses and tops from this range, not only are they Australian made but SUPER comfortable!!

I am obsessed with colour so this range just delights me! Lou, designs and dyes this beautiful clothing herself. She is a lovely person to work with and found me an absolutly PERFECT location to photograph in too.

I am so happy this beautiful range of childrenswear now has an online presence. I hope you enjoy looking over their website and images.

We shot this selection of images at Orleigh Park in West End (my favourite place in Brisbane!!)

I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing this lovely little family on Mothers DAY.

We shot in a park I have never been before and it was packed!! Super fun park and I highly recommend it!

Brisbane Riverside Park in Seventeen Miles Rocks. Go check it out!

It was a delight to follow Paul, Kim and little Sarah around.

First up lets celebrate this motherhood connection! I love these kind of sweet moments shared. Happy Mothers DAY Kim!

‘LOVE’ -new short doco film! -

We are in pre-production for a lovely little film on love. Here is our info poster. (I am rather excited about this project!)

Would love to hear what YOU think of LOVE. (we are after stories of LOVE between partners not so much love for your kids or others:)

•    Is your love un-conditional?

•    Can you think of a time when you were amazed by your love?

•   Can you think of an example or time recently when you felt really loved by your partner? What was it?

•   In your relationship what has been events or things you have done that has strengthened or made your relationship grow?

Please let us know your thoughts, no pressure for interviews. However we would love to hear from you if your interested too!

Maybe you know someone who has been in love a long time or a relationship you know, that you admire?? Feel free to send the info out to friends and family who might be interested. (we can only interview people in Australia - unless someone wants to fly me O.S!!!).

However we would love to hear your thoughts even if you don’t want to be interviewed!

Award winning!

Some months ago I was delighted to have one of my images WIN in a competition. I thought I would FINALLY post here the winning image!

This was for the Canon photo5 competition. It really is a fun competition, this years 5 items were ribbon, bubbles, crayon, cocktail umbrella and candle.
All these items were posted out to thousands of people around Australia.

My winning image was in the “ribbon” category, however 4 of my images were finalists!

Thankyou to all who voted for this image.

The prize was a $5000 canon voucher. Which I have already spent and received. (thanks Canon!)
Actually I thought I would post here my first video from my new 5dmark11.

This was last week while we were having a mini holiday down the coast - It rained a fair bit of the trip! Hope you enjoy.
